CMT Worldwide & Specialty Composites has received patent from the Australian Patent Authority for using cement-containing composition as a major component in eco-Titan poles. The patent gives protection for the composition used in eco-Titan distribution pole plant of Dulhunty Power. The plant is based in Geelong, Australia. CMT Worldwide and Composite Materials Technology have developed this innovative material. Using the material in the eco-Titan poles lowers carbon footprint when compared to other distribution poles. The cement composition is used for manufacturing ecologically neutral pole and offers the capability for producing more durable, stronger, lighter, and high performance poles. The eco-Titan pole using CMT’s ground breaking material has passed the latest ENA-approved fire test. In addition, the pole underwent several other tests and performed well in accordance with safety design specifications. The eco-Titan reduces shipping costs, offers cost competitive benefits and enhanced performance using CMT’s patent cement composition and alkali resistant rovings.
