Dalmia Cement records impressive 33.6 per cent rise

Cement dispatches crossed 5 lakh tonne a month (July) for the first time in its history. Dalmia Cement recorded robust 32.1 per cent rise in cement production to 4.83 lakh tonne, and 33.6 per cent rise in cement dispatches to 5.02 lakh tonne in July 2011. This is the first time that the company crossed 5 lakh tonne of cement dispatches in any month in its history. The cement production grew by 20.9 per cent to 17.22 lakh tonne, while dispatches grew by 23.1 per cent to 17.33 lakh tonne in the four months ended July 2011. OCL India, the associate company, recorded 8.3 per cent increase in cement production to 2.78 lakh tonne, and 5.8 per cent increase in cement dispatches to 2.83 lakh tonne in July 2011. In the four months ended July 2011, OCL India recorded 2.5 per cent improvement in cement production to 11.12 lakh tonne, while dispatches improved by 3.0 per cent to 11.13 lakh tonne.
