Ambuja Cements in a press release said that its production in May 2011 stood at 17.36-lakh tonnes, as against 19.04-lakh tonnes in May 2010. The company’s dispatches in May 2011 stood at 17.64-lakh tonne, as against 18.88-lakh tonne in the May 2010. For the January-May period this year, its production stood at 91.38-lakh tonne as against 91.48-lakh tonnes in the year-ago, while its dispatches for the same period stood at 93.32-lakh tonne as against 91.70-lakh tonne in the corresponding period of the last year, the release said.
