ACC’s cement production rose by 15.3 per cent year-on-year (yoy) during February 2011 to 1.97 mn tonne. The company’s cement dispatches for the month was higher by robust 17 per cent yoy to 2 mn tonne, aided by pick-up in demand across the country. Growth in dispatches was also aided by higher capacity operational (up by 3 mtpa yoy) during the month.
