Webster Griffin Ltd manufactures sack filling machine which uses low pressure air to inject the cement into the sack. This machine can handle both fine and coarse powders as well as blended cements with particles from 0.01 to 2.3 mm diameter. Unlike an impeller packer which uses a turbine to pump the cement into the sack the universal air packer does not have any rotating parts in contact with the product. The material being packed enters a pressure chamber which is then sealed. Air under pressure is introduced to the top of the chamber while a small amount of fluidising air at the base of the chamber encourages the powder to slide through the filling spout into the bag. The packer employs the gross weighing principle, therefore, each sack is weighed as it is filled and the electronic weighing system automatically shuts off the feed of product into the sack as the target weight is reached. The changing from one filled sack weight to another or from one type of product to another is carried out by re-programming the electronic control system via the keypad and LED display. The production information and sack weight data can be transmitted via an RS232/422 serial link to a printer or central computer. The sack filling machine is also used for filling coloured cements and renders or materials where cross contamination between batches must be avoided. The pressure chamber is designed with a 400mm wide, quick release door which provides easy access to the inside of the machine. This combined with the total absence of internal moving parts means that internal cleaning is swift and easy. The universal air packer is engineered for reliable 24 hour operation in the most arduous heavy-duty conditions.Contact: Webster Griffin LtdBrooklands Park, Farningham Road,Crowborough, TN6 2JD , England (UK)Tel: +44 (0) 1892 664250.Fax: +44 (0) 1892 664340Email: info@webstergriffin.comWebsite: www. webstergriffin.com
